ProspeRun WOD 12-23-2024 20-Minute Run: The Gift of Life Across Time


Intention:


This Christmas season, we reflect on the flow of life as an unbroken thread. With every step, send a message of life, love, and energy back to your past self—acknowledging all the triumphs, struggles, and moments that have shaped you. Simultaneously, send that same fuel forward to your future self, offering strength, wisdom, and perseverance. Let your present self be the carrier of this gift, rooted in gratitude and intention.


Structure:

1. Warm-Up (5 minutes):

• Begin with positivity and laughter yoga and movement to loosen up. Inhale deeply, then exhale with hearty laughter for 30 seconds. Repeat 3 times.

• Light dynamic stretches: high knees, leg swings, and arm circles.


2. Main Run (20 minutes):

• Set your pace based on how your body feels.

• Visualize the timeline of your life. With each stride:

• First 5 minutes: Reflect on your childhood and formative years. Imagine sending life and encouragement to your younger self.

• Next 10 minutes: Embrace the present. Each step grounds you in who you are today, celebrating your resilience and progress.

• Final 5 minutes: Focus on your future self. With each breath, offer energy and blessings for the journey ahead.


3. Cool Down (5 minutes):

• Walk and focus on deep, intentional breathing.

• Stretch gently, acknowledging the flow of life within you.

This Christmas season, let’s embrace the power of intention and the gift of life. Running becomes more than just movement—it’s a way to honor our past, ground ourselves in the present, and fuel our future. With each step, we acknowledge our journey and the lives that have touched ours.
